Orange Cake

Ingredients

4 eggs (medium sized)

Pinch of salt

Use equal weight of the eggs of sugar, butter and plain flour (RL: not sure if this means equal weight of each, but I guess so)

1 level teaspoon of baking powder

Juice of one ordinary sized orange

Rind (if you wish)

Method

Cream the butter.

Add sugar and cream well into the butter.

Add orange juice. (RL: I guess if you’re adding rind, add it here)

Then add eggs, one at a time.

Lastly, add dry ingredients sifted well.

Cook at 400°F () for the first half hour, then reduce to 350°F () for the next half hour.

This may vary slightly in time.

RL: It may look like this, or it may be round. Or square. Or a dodecahedron.
